Job Description:
Job Summary
Manages and diagnoses the cause of problems in heating and air
conditioning systems for the purpose of identifying equipment
and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.
Evaluates programs and/or projects for the purpose of prioritizing
safety and regulatory needs and ensuring the achievement of
department objectives.
Inspects new construction, repair work, projects, equipment, work
orders, daily maintenance and supplies for the purpose of ensuring
that jobs are completed efficiently; specifications are within
established guidelines; and approving inspection reports and
payment requests.
Oversees all bidding requests for proposals and procurement
processes for maintenance, repair parts and all other purchases or
acquisitions with the maintenance department for the purpose of
ensuring that policies and procedures are in accordance with
adopted guidelines, regulations and procurement laws.
Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of addressing
immediate safety concerns.
Supervises work and workplace safety standards for the purpose of
ensuring compliance regulatory requirements and District preventive
maintenance processes.
Builds a variety of items (e.g. walls, countertops, shelves,
cabinets, etc.) for the purpose of modifying and/or adapting
facilities to specific needs.
Installs a wide variety of materials and /or items (e.g. carpet,
tile, roofing, cabinetry, drywall, plumbing, insulation, glass,
electrical, masonry, locks, playground equipment, classroom and
office systems components, etc.) for the purpose of providing
enhancements and/or upgrades.
Repairs facilities, equipment, and systems (e.g. lockers,
playground equipment, bleachers, augers, doors, windows, etc.) for
the purpose of ensuring a safe working condition.

Compensation
Beaver County School District offers a very competitive
compensation package.
Prior Experience & Salary Schedule Placement. While many school
districts in Utah recognize a minimum amount of prior experience
for determining salary schedule placement, Beaver County School
District will recognize:
Maintenance Hourly Wage Range: $16.32 - $25.85
Up to 5 years of prior job-related experience, and
Up to an additional 5 years more of prior job-related
experience-one year for every 2 years of prior experience beyond
the first 5 years.
This means a newly hired employee can receive salary schedule
credit for up to 10 years of prior job-related work experience
based upon the criteria mentioned above.
Additional Annual Stipends - Licenses, Certifications, & Technical
Training:
$25,000 per Year: Utah DOPL General Contractors License
or
Up to $15,000 per Year: Other Utah DOPL Licenses, Professional
Certifications, and/or related formal technical training (i.e.
electrical, plumbing, handyman, construction, etc.)
