PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

Operate a haul truck in a manner that is consistent with the company's safety and environmental policies in an active mining environment. This includes established criteria for haul truck operations: pre-operation inspections, efficiently staging at shovels and loaders, maintaining cycle times consistent with haulage profiles. All work must be completed in a safe and efficient manner while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect the company's values.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
* Operate in a safe and efficient manner, causing the least wear and/or damage to the equipment and mine property; maintaining the highest level of safe production possible, hauling material from point A to point B.
* Perform and document a thorough pre-operational inspection to evaluate the safety and mechanical condition of the equipment.
* Work independently and as a member of the team.
* Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, attendance, confidentiality and code of conduct.
* Meet or exceed established performance expectations set by the company.
* Consistently exercise discretion and judgment in job performance.
* Recognize hazardous conditions or situations and act quickly and appropriately to mitigate or eliminate those conditions or situations.
* Participate in meetings and discussions.
* Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
* Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

* Valid Driver's License.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Previous heavy equipment experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

* Follow verbal and written directions and instructions.
* Positive attitude.
* Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
* General understanding of mechanical functions preferred but not required.
* Basic knowledge of computer operation.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

* N/A

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* N/A

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

* Medium: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly. Physical demand requirements are greater than that required for Light Work.
