Turn-About Ranch is seeking Residential Coaches in Escalante,
Utah. Turn-About Ranch is a Residential Treatment Facility for
youth ages 12-17 located on a working cattle ranch. This position
involves working with youth in daily chores, work projects, trail
rides, hikes, etc. all while modeling appropriate behavior and
working with the youth to complete therapeutic goals and develop
better life skills. Work location is between Bryce Canyon and
Capitol Reef National Parks in the heart of the Grand Staircase
Escalante National Monument. The ranch is in a remote and
spectacular part of the country!
Qualified candidates will have the ability to set and maintain
appropriate boundaries; be able to ensure the safety of the
students, staff, and facilities; and to provide positive
interaction with the youth. Candidates must possess a strong work
ethic; have the ability to relate to, connect with, and mentor
students; and work within a therapeutic team. They must be able to
provide supervision, leadership, consistency, and help model values
to the youth. They must adhere to policies and be capable of
maintaining order, demonstrate good judgement, and respond quickly
and efficiently to emergencies.
A good candidate will have a love for the nature and a passion for
helping others. They will need to help students learn skills such
as planning, organizing, accomplishing chores, and the other
necessary work around the ranch.
This position is full-time and includes PTO, a health insurance
stipend, and group dental/vision plans. The position is not limited
to the duties listed above, other functions may be assigned as
