RVU offers a full benefits package that included 401(k), Health, Dental and Vision insurance, paid vacation, sick and holidays.Primary PurposeWorks closely with the Associate Dean of Student Success to support and advise students in achieving their career goals.Essential Job Functions1. Develop and deliver one-on-one and group programs for career preparation. 2. Collaborate with key campus stakeholders establish and deliver progressive co-curricular programs to help students demonstrate key competencies, including communication and interpersonal skills, and professionalism. 3. Recognize different types of crises and refer students to campus/community resources as deemed appropriate. 4. Advise students holistically by clarifying personal and career goals. 5. Support students in the ongoing development their Personal & Professional Identity 6. Provide career exploration and development workshops, activities and networking events utilizing resources such as the Careers in Medicine (CIM) website. 7. Provide support and guidance for CV and personal brand development. 8. Organize and facilitate year-round strategic student advising communication campaigns. 9. Provide students with resources and opportunities to develop the ePortfolio to support the tracking of student curricular, co-curricular and personal progress. 10. Engender student development by providing information and referral to campus specialty organizations, professional national memberships & conference 11. Participate in preliminary preparation of the MSPE by assisting students to develop comprehensive Noteworthy Characteristics 12. Organize and oversee the Peer Coaching Program 13. Demonstrate the highest standard of professionalism and ethical behavior in all aspects of personal and professional actions and performance. 14. Demonstrate and role model an ongoing ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, supervisors and support staff. _Student Affairs/General Duties_ 1. Perform ongoing assistance with Student Affairs events and activities. 2. Participate in regular collaboration meetings with counterparts on Colorado Campus. 3. Have a clear understanding of all university and college academic policies; and work on a daily basis with other entities across campus. 4. Help students navigate institutional policies and procedures. 5. Participate in the prospective student interviewing process. 6. Other duties as assigned by Associate Dean of Student SuccessMarginal Job Functions1. Assist administration, faculty, and staff in special projects as needed. 2. Participate in community and professional outreach activities on behalf of the college and university. 3. Develop a positive working relationship with students, providing support in various academic and non-academic arenas.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Text Only)- Ability to communicate clearly effectively, both orally and in writing. - Public speaking. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of information. - Ability to problem-solve. - Excellent organizational skills. - If needed, ability to work outside of normal business hours. - Knowledge of University and College Policy and Procedures.Minimum Qualifications1. Earned degree in appropriate field, such as Student Affairs Administration, Higher Education, Social Work, Educational Psychology, Counseling, etc., from an accredited institution. 2. At least two years of full-time experience at an accredited university, health profession college, or medical school. 3. Demonstrated increased leadership responsibilities in a university settingPreferred Qualifications1. Three years of full-time experience at an accredited university, health profession college, or medical school. 2. Experience with student advising and/or academic support services. 3.
