Job Description

RN' s needed for L&D, Post Partum rooms, BFHI, babies room in with moms, average 40 deliveries per month, average 6 C-sections per month.

May have to cover as charge nurse, after charge nurse training, on occasion

Responsible for assisting, supporting and educating women during the four stages of delivery: antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal.

Sits with and monitors patient throughout (before/during/after) the labor

Monitors contractions and helps patient with breathing techniques

Monitoring the fetal heart rate and mother' s vital signs.

Cares for patients on Pitocin, MgSO4 & continuous lumbar epidural

Checks patient' s cervix periodically to monitor progression/lack of dilation

Qualifications and Job Info

3 years recent experience in the specialty that is being applied for in order to be considered, in some cases more exp may be required

ACLS OR ALSO, BLS, NRP AND FHM required

Recent fetal monitoring

Must have Active State Nursing license
