Job Description:

Challenger School seeks an enthusiastic individual to support teaching Challenger's curriculum, mission, and values to students enrolled in our Extended Class program. This program runs before school and after school, and Extended Teachers also serve as Lunchroom Supervisors during lunch periods. Extended Class Teachers may choose to work a full time or part time schedule. Shifts include Monday-Friday 7 to 9am, 11am to 1pm, 3 to 6pm. Applicants with availability until 6 p.m. will be given preference.

Extended Class Teachers are responsible for:

• Organizing and participating in outside games and activities
• Assisting to maintain order and safety of kindergarten through eighth grade students.
• Preparing art and craft activities
• Tutoring students and assisting with homework
  Extended Class Teachers are required to:

  • Have a friendly and confident demeanor and to work patiently with students, parents, and co-workers
  • Have energy, confidence, and enthusiasm
  • Understand and embrace the values of the original United States Constitution
