Job Description Job Description Position Summary: Landmark Excavating is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Water Truck Driver to support our heavy civil construction operations. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate a water truck to control dust and support compaction efforts on job sites. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-minded, and experienced with operating in active construction environments. Key Responsibilities: Operate a water truck to distribute water over roads, trenches, and other surfaces as directed Maintain proper water levels in assigned areas to support dust control and soil compaction Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water levels Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and company safety standards Safely navigate and operate on active construction sites, including around equipment and personnel Communicate with site supervisors and equipment operators to ensure proper coverage and job site needs Keep truck clean, fueled, and in good operating condition Complete required paperwork and log entries accurately and on time Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies and procedures Qualifications: Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with tanker endorsement (preferred) Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience , preferably in construction or off-road environments Clean driving record and current DOT medical card Familiarity with operating water trucks and understanding of dust control practices Ability to work in all weather conditions and navigate rough terrain Strong communication skills and a teamwork-oriented mindset Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods while operating vehicle Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Must be able to climb in and out of truck cab multiple times per day Capable of working in outdoor conditions including heat, dust, and noise Compensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly wage (DOE) Overtime opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holiday pay Opportunities for advancement within the company Landmark Excavating is an equal opportunity employer and values safety, quality, and grit.
